Fuel Level Sensor Repair Procedure

When replacing the right and/or left side fuel level sensor due to a failure, it is not necessary to replace the following complete assemblies/kits:
^ The fuel pump with fuel level sensor (right side); and/or
^ The fuel filter with fuel level sensor (left side).
For example, the customer complains that the fuel gauge is inoperative. When diagnosed, the problem is a defective fuel level sensor. As listed in
ETK, only replace the assembly's fuel level sensor component part.
When applicable the "fuel pump repair kit" or "fuel filter repair kit" with level sensor must not be used to repair fuel level sensor concerns.
[NEW] WARRANTY INFORMATION
Claims for replacing complete assemblies or kits when the component part is available separately will not be accepted.
