The newest Porsche 911 generation has landed code name 991! As expected from Porsche, their car design is more toward on revolution then evolution. For the untrained eyes, the car look almost the same as the outgoing model. For Porschephile like me, will instantly differentiate the differences. The car over shape is retained but there are lots of new facial design on both front and rear! I just love that new rear LED tail lamp. Looks just so freaking cool! This white 911 is the only new 911 in Brunei at the moment, and it is already sold! I am not too sure about the exact price but I recalled it was somewhere above BND250,000. Porsche 911 is always my big dream to own one. Check out the cut out of 911 logo on the side display panel! This are original display panel imported all the way from Porsche Germany!
The Beauty - If you have any appreciation for design whatsoever, the Volvo V90 will catch your eye and not let go. Volvo wagons have had a bit of a cult following for decades, and that cult is likely to grow with the new V90 coming to market. The beauty in this case resides on the outside as well as the interior. And you get some nice mechanicals as well, with the supercharged and turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder churning out 316 horsepower, available all-wheel drive and Volvo鈥檚 famous safety features. The Athelete - BMW is never one to be left out of a vehicle segment, and the luxury wagon world has their latest entry with the 5-Series Touring. The latest 5-Series sedan is proving to be a real runner, and the wagon will share those nimble moves, all the while providing that extra utility. Although not yet officially announced (the possibility is high we won't get these stateside), we hope to see the 530 wagon with the 4-cylinder motor, as well as the 540 with the V6. What we will definitely get is a dynamic performer when called upon, as well as the highly improved 5-Series interior.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and while it would be a stretch to call the new B-Class 鈥榖eautiful鈥? it鈥檚 certainly more attractive than the old model. Gone is the frumpy, MPV-like exterior, replaced by something more cohesive and, dare we say it, sporty. That鈥檚 no surprise, given the fact that the designers were told to make the B-Class stand out from the minivans of the world. The result is a car that鈥檚 lower than before, graced with shorter overhangs and a face that鈥檚 100 per cent A-Class. Which, in our book, is a good result. It鈥檚 10mm wider than before, with this width accentuated by a pair of distinctive rear lights. Predictably, the B-Class looks at its best in AMG Line trim, thanks to a host of cosmetic trimmings, 18-inch alloy wheels and a distinctive chrome grille. The positive vibes continue on the inside, with an interior that鈥檚 lifted almost entirely from the A-Class.
The key difference is in the design of the instrument panel, which in the B-Class is a single unit, rather than the split bodies of the A-Class. It鈥檚 dominated by five, high-quality, circular air vents and the display units (more on these in the next section). Standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, front and rear armrests, multifunction steering wheel and an array of ambient lighting. The cabin vibe changes depending on whether you opt for Sport or AMG Line, with the latter offering the likes of stainless steel pedals, sports seats, flat-bottom steering wheel and AMG floor mats. Three equipment packs are available: Executive, Premium and Premium Plus. The new Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system is fitted as standard and is a welcome addition to the range. In our opinion, it鈥檚 one of the best systems on the market. The MBUX system can be controlled via a touchpad on the centre console or via the buttons on the steering wheel, but more impressive is the voice control. It uses a 鈥淗ey Mercedes鈥?command, in much the same way you might use Apple鈥檚 Siri or Amazon鈥檚 Alexa personal assistants. The majority of the infotainment functions can be accessed using voice control, including the sat-nav, phone calls or choice of music. You can even use indirect commands, such as 鈥淚 feel cold鈥?to adjust the heating. Over time, MBUX will adjust to your personal habits, such as your route to work and your favourite radio station.
