PROCEDURE

1. Check whether aftermarket equipment has been retrofitted to the MOST on the vehicle. This includes TCU, CDC, IPOD, etc. If so, check for a

correct wiring connection of terminal 15 and terminal 30. If these 2 terminals are swapped, the above situation may occur. Correct as needed.

Note:

Repairs related to the installation of use of or removal of any aftermarket components are not covered under warranty.

If aftermarket equipment is installed and operating correctly, proceed to the next step.

2. For vehicles with software older than integration level E060-05-09-520 or E89x-05-09-520, program the vehicle using the current version of

ISTA/P.

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.

For information on programming and coding with ISTA/P, refer to CenterNet / Aftersales Business Development & Marketing Portal / Service

Operations / Workshop Technology / Vehicle Programming.

3. For vehicles manufactured since 9/2006 or programmed to integration level E060-05-09-520, E89x-05-09-520 or later, check whether the vehicle

is equipped with Comfort Access (SA 322). Rule out whether the vehicle is unintentionally left locked or unlocked with terminal R or terminal 15

on. Refer to SI B65 04 06 for more information.
