The Fully Loaded Mercedes Benz S550

At some point during a two-day drive of the all-new Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG, something interesting happened. As we snaked through the foothills in the shadow of Spain鈥檚 Sierra Nevada, the ML63 proved far more agile than you鈥檇 expect, not the least because its 295/40ZR-20 Continental CrossContact tires put so much rubber on the ground. The base-spec A3 sedan completes the dash from 0-100 kph in 7.2 seconds while the more powerful model completes the same in just over 5 seconds, courtesy of its lightweight construction. A revised sensor package now allows for autonomous lane changes at highway speeds, while the adaptive cruise control can slow the car for curves, traffic circles, or exit or entrance ramps based on navigation data. Added to this are new AMG 20-inch forged wheels in matte black with high-gloss polished rim flange and the Night package. The night vision system can be activated only during the dark times, and it replaces the display of the speedometer with an enlarged white a...

Aston Martin Will Be Fully Hybrid In Less Than A Decade

Change is coming, but not all change is bad. At the moment, Aston Martin doesn’t have a single hybrid offering. Nothing. Nada. But that’s all going to change by the middle of the next decade, according to a report from The Financial Times . Aston Martin CEO has officially gone on record stating that “We will be 100 percent hybrid by the middle of the 2020s.” Furthermore, 25 percent of all Aston Martins are going to be full-on EVs “by the end of the next decade.” All the more impressive is that Aston Martin is doing this entirely in-house instead of teaming up with, say, Daimler, as it’s currently doing with V8s . “You need to keep core technology inside the company,” Palmer continued. “That’s why we make our own V12 engine. We believe that EVs are a core technology, and therefore we want to do them ourselves.” Respect. While some of the electric motors components will come from suppliers, the battery packs and motors themselves will be produced in the UK. It’s a fair assumption that t...

5 Cars That Would Be Better As Fully Electric Models

Not all cars should be EV, but these would be seriously great with some electrification. Automakers seem to be on a mission to turn every car in their lineups into a hybrid or EV. Sometimes enthusiasts like to complain that certain cars should never include electrification. For example, we think that the Lamborghini Aventador would be worse if it was an EV. Part of what makes that car great is the sound and savage gear changes. This isn't the case with all cars though. There are certain models that we think would be much better if they had an EV drivetrain instead of a gas engine. Here are our top five cars that would be better off as EVs. Rolls-Royce recently revealed its all-new Phantom VIII. This amazing flagship luxury car will pick up right where the previous Phantom left off by offering a buttery smooth 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12. Even though this engine produces 563 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque while barely making any noise, we think that the Phantom would be even better as ...

The Fully Loaded Mercedes Benz S550

You have to control your funds, established a day, select a venue, determine who to invite. 56,480 for the 540i include dual zone climate control with individual blower settings, 16-way power adjustable front seats with 4-way lumbar support for the driver, moonroof, Bluetooth phone and audio, and navigation. Its Nappa leather-wrapped performance steering wheel feels good, the active multicontour seats are just right, and the cushy headrest feels like a soft, warm pretzel against the back of your head. The interiors are mostly finished in Nubuck leather and it features the leather seats, sporty steering wheel and instrument panels. The MEC Design features specially designed Airmatic suspension with adjustable coilcover kit that gives a smooth driving on all road conditions even at higher speeds. A value of 100 per cent means that the Jetta Hybrid was driven with zero emissions throughout the driving minute, i.e. with the TSI engine shut off. Maintenance costs aren't that far between...
