Date: June 2010 Order No: S-B-72.10/114 Group: 72 SUBJECT: Models: 164, 216, 221, 251 Power Windows Intermittently Not Functioning Correctly Page 290 If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the power windows intermittently not functioning correctly and no fault codes are present or stored, this may be due to a function called thermal protection The power window motors are protected against overheating by a software-based thermal protection function in the respective door control unit or front SAM control unit. If the thermal protection function is triggered, the power window motor cannot be actuated for a short period of time.
