P0108: BARO/MAP Sensor High Voltage

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0108 indicates a problem with the Barometric Pressure (BARO) or Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor, specifically that the sensor is producing a high voltage output signal. As with the previous code, the specific sensor referred to by this code may vary depending on the vehicle's make, model, and engine type. Both the BARO and MAP sensors serve to measure atmospheric or intake manifold pressure and provide this information to the engine control module (ECM) or powertrain control module (PCM). The ECM/PCM uses the data from these sensors to calculate engine load, adjust the air-fuel mixture, and control various engine functions. When the P0108 code is triggered, it typically indicates one of the following potential issues: 1. Faulty BARO/MAP Sensor: The sensor itself may be malfunctioning, producing a higher-than-expected voltage output or providing a constant voltage signal. 2. Wiring or Connector Problems: Issues with the sensor...
