With the enhanced fog light function, LED technology also allows the headlamp on the driver's side to illuminate that side more actively, while masking any rise in the light beam. The active headlamp includes intuitive headlamp range control which automatically adjusts the angle of the light beam to changes in the car's attitude - for example pitching movements when braking and accelerating - or to accommodate changes in vehicle loading. Optional bi-xenon high-intensity gas-discharge headlights are self-leveling, so they're always aimed properly, regardless of vehicle loading, even under the pitching of braking or acceleration. Even 6-footers will have no problem fitting in the Jetta's rear quarters, and there's considerably more real-world legroom than in the diminutive Golf.
