Do Toyota Tacomas have timing belts or chains?

Toyota Tacoma: The four-cylinder version of the Toyota Tacoma has used a timing chain since back in 1995. The V6 used a timing belt until 2004, and then it switched over to the chain. Toyota Tundra: The Toyota Tundra has been all over the map with belts and chains.Jul. 27, 2020Toyota Timing Belt or Chain 鉂わ笍 Everything You Need To Know

JDA envisions predictive, AI-driven supply chains

JDA Software, a Scottsdale, Ariz., supplier of software and supply chain management consulting, is working toward a future in which supply chain managers will have better visibility to make faster decisions. CEO Girish Rishi, 49, spoke with News Editor Lindsay Chappell.

Q: What's driving change in supply chain management?

A: Supply chains are still basically analog. And what manufacturers and supply chain managers are looking for now is the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Where will AI most likely play a role?

The areas of inventory and intermodal container shipping — to give visibility in the last mile and the last inch of shipment.

What do you mean that supply chains are still analog?

They are being run with internal data. Going forward, supply chains will be heavily influenced by external data: demographics, local country consumer trends, real-time visibility of parts and equipment, and event data.

!function(d, s) {var ip = d.createElement(s);ip.async = 1, s = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0], ip.src = "//s.idio.co/ip.js", s.parentNode.insertBefore(ip, s)}(document, "script");$(function() { $idoWidget = $('#idio-article-recommendations-8'); $imageContainer = $idoWidget.prev().prev(); $imageEle = $imageContainer.children('img'); if ($imageEle && $imageEle.length > 0) { $imageContainer.insertAfter($idoWidget); }});

Why does an automaker want this?

Automakers want to be able to serve a single consumer. For a supply chain to have that level of agility requires more insight to be able to predict what that consumer wants.
