Complaint:



High-pressure pump leaking in the area of the low-pressure connections.



Cause:



Leakage at the connecting point between fuel hose and high-pressure pump connection pipe, caused by low outside temperatures.

Remedy:



Do not replace the high-pressure pump (1) !!!!



1. Check whether the poly-V belt is contaminated with fuel.



2. If it is contaminated with fuel, replace poly-V belt. (See AR13.22-S-1202S).



3. In order to localize the leak on the high-pressure pump (1), clean the high-pressure pump (1) and spray it with MB leak detector spray.



4. If the high-pressure pump (1) is found to be leaking in the area of the low-pressure connections:



^ Replace hose clamps and fuel hoses (2) of feed and return lines of low-pressure connections.



Note:



Only use the specified hose clamps.
