2010 BMW 335Cic Convertible (E93) L6-3.0L Turbo (N54) Technical Service Bulletin # 651013 Date: 130301 Restraints - Enabling And Replacing New OC3 Seat Mat SI B65 10 13 Audio, Navigation, Monitors, Alarms, SRS March 2013 Technical Service SUBJECT Enabling and Replacing New 0C3 Seat Mat MODEL E82 E88 E90 E91 E92 E93 SITUATION The replacement 0C3 seat mat (front passenger seat occupancy) will not enable when following ISTA Repair Instruction REP 65 77 6O4, "Replacing sensor mat (OC3 mat) for passenger seat occupancy detector. CAUSE When the new mat is installed in the vehicle, too much pre-load pressure will prevent the mat from being enabled. ISTA/P WILL NOT enable the new part, and will cause permanent damage to it. CORRECTION In order to avoid excessive down time for repair or damage to the new OC3 seat mat, the repair instruction steps must be revised as shown in the procedure below: 1.
