A L L  Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC ): P Code Charts Component Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid) has an open circuit in the wiring. (P0013)
Component Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid) has an open circuit in the wiring. (P0013)

Possible cause:
- Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid) - Voltage supply via component Z7/38 (Circuit 87 M1i connector sleeve) Affected functions:
- Engine diagnosis - Engine output

  Test 1: Power supply
  Test 2: Check component Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid).
1. Power supply Voltage supply via component Z7/38 (Circuit 87 M1i connector sleeve)
Possible cause and remedy
- Check voltage supply according to wiring diagram.

2. Check component Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid).
  Test 2.1: Test actuation of component Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid).
  Test 2.2: Test current consumption of component Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid).
2.1. Test actuation of component Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid). Test prerequisite
- Engine at idle - Vehicle stationary - Coolant temperature > 80° C - Time since engine start> 60 s Status of relevant actual value: - Temperature of coolant:Warning! Communication with ECU required. Note
- After the actuation it may be necessary to erase the fault memory! Proceed to 'Actuation' with F2
2.2. Test current consumption of component Y49/7 (Right camshaft exhaust solenoid). Figure legend

Test sequence
- Measure direct current with multimeter between sockets [F.4] 100 and [M.24] 24 of the 126-pole socket box tester. - Switch on ignition. Testing of maximum power consumption may be conducted for no longer than 5 s.Specified value
- Amperage[1.0...1.8] A Question
- Is the measurement value OK?

YES The measurement value is OK.End of test
