On top of the model changes, the automaker is also expanding the use of
its mbrace telematics feature by making it standard on most models. The
SL, in SL550 trim is already on sale, while the SL63 AMG hits showrooms
in July and the SL65 AMG arrives in November. Also all-new this coming
year is the GL Class SUV, which for the first time spawns a GL63 AMG
model. The regular GL goes on sale in September while the AMG variant
arrives in the first quarter of next year. Moving down the line we
arrive at the GLK Class, which has received an extensive facelift that
includes a new BlueTEC diesel option. This latest range of compact SUVs
goes on sale in August. Another facelifted model is the G Class, which
Mercedes-Benz is out to show is far from obsolescence. The legendary
off-roader has received a very modern interior and its AMG option is
back, this time with a G63 AMG badge. Both the regular version and new
AMG model go on sale in August. Sadly, the U.S. misses out on the V-12
powered G65 AMG though considering its pricetag that may be a good
thing. The last major update in 2013 from Mercedes-Benz is to the
flagship SLS AMG supercar. It鈥檚 being replaced by a new SLS AMG GT,
which offers more power and refined suspension. It goes on sale in
November. Another model worth mentioning is the E400 Hybrid, which is a
new addition for 2013. It goes on sale in October.

It鈥檚 always fun to get back to our roots and enjoy the raw beauty of
nature. In order to find some of the most beautiful places out in the
wilderness, you have to travel off the beaten path, and oftentimes over
rough terrain. It is all worth it in the end, once you reach your
special place, but having a 2016 Mercedes-Benz G550 with its updated
engine capabilities helps you get there quicker in comfort and style.
The 2016 edition of the Mercedes-Benz G550 has been updated to harbor a
4.0 biturbo V8. While the new engine鈥檚 size has diminished from the
5.5-liter V8 engine housed in the 2015 model, don鈥檛 let it fool you!
The larger engine from 2015 could only attain 382 horsepower, while the
new and smaller one in the 2016 edition is capable of 416 horsepower
thanks to the biturbo technology. With this kind of power, you can tow
up to 7000 pounds in the 2016 G550! Check Out Current G550 Inventory!
Working in tandem with the updated engine is a 7-speed automatic
transmission, which will allow you to enjoy a smooth drive on a variety
of terrain. Speaking of different terrains, especially for rough
off-roading adventures, the 2016 G550 comes standard with 3 lockable
differentials to assist in the balancing of traction and torque for the
utility vehicle on steep, rough, and slick road conditions. The 2016
G550 was designed to handle steep inclines thanks to its suspension and
4-wheel Electronic Traction System. For a front incline, the 2016 G550
can handle a maximum 36 degrees. Not only can the vehicle easily climb
forward, it can take on a 28 degree side incline, which is perfect for
narrow roads and you need to drive through the ditch.
