One of the issues being focused on by NHTSA is the possibility that the floor mats in these vehicles may interfere with accelerator or brake pedal movement. Given the critical safety concerns involved, we'd like to take this opportunity to remind our dealers of the proper procedures for installing floor mats in our vehicles so they may properly communicate this information to our customers: ^ Any existing floor mats should be removed prior to installing new floor mats.
