SUBJECT Rattling or Squeaking Noises Heard from the Door/Window MODEL R50 (Cooper) R52 (Cooper Convertible and Cooper S Convertible) R53 (Cooper S) 2002-2006 Mini Cooper (R50) L4-1.6L (W10) Page 97 SITUATION The customer may complain of one or both of the following situations: 1. The door window rattles when opening or closing the driver's side or passenger's side door. 2. Squeaking noises are heard when raising or lowering the front window. CAUSE 1. The anti-rattle clips are fitted incorrectly or are missing from the window regulator guides. 2. There is a lack of grease lubricant on window regulator guide rails. CORRECTION To correct both situations install anti-rattle clips and lubricate the window regulator guide rails using a repair kit (P/N 51 33 7 177 925). PROCEDURE Note: Perform the following ...
