1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 "S" Code 390

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 "S" Code 390

Up for sale is one beautiful 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 factory 鈥淪鈥?code 390 big block factory 4 speed car. Period correct rebuilt 390 with a top loader factory 4 speed. Clean title in hand. This is a real 63C code Mach 1 with full Marti Report. Real factory S code 390 big block car, real factory 4 speed car with manual disk brakes and manual steering exactly as it came from the factory. There is NO rust or rot and NO blisters anywhere on this car. It is straight as an arrow and all the lines are perfect. Paint is beautiful and has a super nice shine to it. There are a few minor imperfections such as a stone chip or two but nothing major. Underneath the car is super clean and rock solid. No hack job patches, no rust issues and the torque boxes are all perfect.

The trunk is also rust free and super clean. The car has been gone through and has a clean bill of health. Everything works as it should except the clock. All mechanicals are 100%. It runs and drives like brand new, it goes straight down the road with no pulling or vibrations. Again, the body and paint are excellent, this Mach 1 is super solid with NO rust issues NO blisters and NO dings. This car is not a bondo bucket. The interior is excellent, no rips in the upholstery and no cracks in the dash or door cards. There is a small crack on the rear passenger arm rest but that鈥檚 it. I would call the interior a 9 out of a 10. The underneath is extremely clean. The glass is all in excellent shape with no scratches, and the windows go up and down with ease. All the chrome and stainless is in excellent shape, no pitting.

The paint is gorgeous and was done professionally. It shines up excellent as you can see by the pics. No orange peel and it shines like a mirror. The motor starts right up no problem and is very very healthy. Last winter it was torn down and received all new seals and gaskets. No smoke, no ticks no leaks no knocks, no weird noises what so ever. The brakes work perfect and have plenty of life left. The car goes straight down the road and the front end is tight. If you hit the brakes you stop straight and it doesn鈥檛 pull you to the right or left. Included with the sale is the Full Marti Report and window sticker. This car is turn key and ready to go. It鈥檚 very hard to find a 69 in this condition and not to mention its a real Mach 1 S code 390 4 speed car. You will be hard pressed to find a better deal.

The fifth-generation Mustang arrived for the 2005 model year at the 2004 Detroit auto show. It received a new exterior design inspired by the original car. A new 4.0-liter V-6 was the base powertrain and the optional 4.6-liter V-8 from the previous generation carried over. For the fifth generation鈥檚 refresh in 2011, the car received a new 305-hp 3.7-liter V-6 as the base engine and a new 412-hp 5.0-liter V-8 as the optional powertrain. Both can be paired to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Shelby announced the return of the GT350 in 2012 with a supercharged version of the Mustang GT鈥檚 new 5.0-liter V-8. The GT500, on the other hand, reemerged with 662 hp and the Super Snake can now be had with up to 850 hp. Shelby also offered a GTS package for the Mustang in 2012 with V-6-powered variants gaining a supercharger. Originally debuting for the 2015 model year, the current sixth-generation Ford Mustang retains its retro-inspired styling but unlike its predecessors, it now has an independent rear suspension for improved ride and handling.

The latest Mustang is also now available with a 310-hp 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo-four, slotting between the base V-6 and the Mustang GT. Ford also revived the GT350 as a track-ready variant powered by a high-revving 5.2-liter V-8 with 526 hp paired exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. A more hardcore model called the GT350R was also added as a limited-production variant and thanks to carbon fiber wheels and an available rear-seat delete option, it鈥檚 ighter than the standard car. In a 2016 First Test of a Mustang EcoBoost we said that when equipped with the EcoBoost Performance package, the car offers excellent handling without sacrificing ride quality. The GT350, on the other hand, also proved to be well balanced thanks to its magnetic damping system, which helps ride quality without hurting the car鈥檚 handling prowess. In a comparison test against the last-generation Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, the GT350R won because of its exceptional performance on and off the track. 鈥淔loat like a Lotus, sting like a Ferrari. The GT350R outperforms the Z/28 by at least a few degrees in every measure, objective and subjective, and does it loaded with creature comforts and a better ride,鈥?we said 鈥?stay tuned for the rematch.
