Too much play between bracket for bumper and rear lamp (picture 2)
Thermal expansion causes the bumper sticks out in the area of the rear lamp

Remedy:
The play between the rear lamp and the bumper must be eliminated. To this end, film is stuck onto the bracket of the bumper:
1. Measure protrusion to rear lamp on specified measuring points for determining the amount of film required
2. Remove bumper
3. Determine amount of film to be glued on:

- S212: Measurement 35 mm from tip of bumper (picture 3)
- C218: Measurement 70 mm from tip of bumper (picture 4)
Amount of film = Protrusion (mm) / 0.3 (mm) --> Film thickness is approx. 0.3 mm

The bonding surfaces must be clean and free of grease
5. Mount bumper again
