Complaint:



1. Howling noise from engine compartment.



2. Rattling noise from engine compartment.



Attachments



Cause:



1. Wear of rubber damper on Valeo refrigerant compressor.



2. Wear of bearing of belt pulley on refrigerant compressor.



Remedy:



Replacement of belt pulley on refrigerant compressor, see WIS document AR 83.55-P-7685C.



Pay attention to the correct type of refrigerant compressor (Valeo, see picture) and the associated belt pulley diameter (110 mm or 120 mm).
