Standards.
ISSUE
Some 2009-2011 Escape and Mariner vehicles equipped with a 6F35 automatic transmission may exhibit a single hoot noise on light acceleration
from a stop just before the 1-2 shift. This noise will not occur any other time and will not occur under heavy acceleration. On four wheel drive
(4WD) vehicles, the noise may be heard at the rear axle due to noise transfer through the rear differential unit (RDU). This is a normal characteristic
of the vehicle and does not affect transmission function and/or 4WD function or durability. A transaxle chain snubber is available to reduce this
noise and is incorporated with the fluid reservoir.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
NOTE
A SLIGHT NOISE WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP MAY BE A NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC.
Installing Transmission Chain Snubber:
1. Drain fluid and remove the transaxle, following Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01.
2. Install the holding fixture 307-625.
3. Using the holding fixture 307-625, install the transaxle on a bench-mounted holding fixture.
4. Remove the torque converter retainer 307-566.
5. Install the torque converter handle 307-091.
6. Using torque converter handle 307-091, remove the torque converter from the transaxle.
a. The torque converter is heavy. Be careful not to drop it or damage will result.
7. Note the location of the stud bolts for assembly and remove the 17 torque converter housing bolts.
8. Using a suitable tool, pry the torque converter housing loose from the transaxle case.
9. Remove the torque converter housing loose from the transaxle case.
10. Remove the number 15 differential thrust bearing.
11. Remove the differential.
12. Remove the differential planetary sun gear.
13. Remove the number 13 thrust washer.
14. Remove the number 11 drive sprocket thrust bearing.
15. Lift the driven sprocket up first then simultaneously remove the drive and driven sprockets and the chain.
2010-2021 Ford Truck Escape 4WD L4-2.5L  Page 16
16. Remove two (2) bolts, the fluid reservoir hold-down bracket and fluid reservoir. (Figure 1)
17. Discard fluid reservoir and hold-down bracket. (Figure 2).
18. Install new fluid reservoir/chain snubber and position the alignment pin in the alignment hole. Reinstall the two (2) bolts in the fluid baffle and
install the two (2) bolts from the kit in the new fluid reservoir/chain snubber. Torque to 12 N.m (106 lb-in). (Figure 3)
19. Install the number 10 thrust bearing.
20. Install the number 12 thrust bearing.
21. Simultaneously install the original drive/driven sprocket and original chain assembly by first seating the drive sprocket then seat the driven
sprocket, Lightly tap on the driven sprocket to be sure it is fully seated in the case.
22. Install the number 11 thrust bearing.
23. Install the number 13 thrust washer.
24. Install the final drive sun gear.
25. Install the differential assembly.
2010-2021 Ford Truck Escape 4WD L4-2.5L  Page 17
26. Install the number 15 thrust bearing.
27. Install the turbine shaft seal protector 307-635 on the input shaft.
28. Clean the silicone off torque converter housing and transmission case sealing surface.
29. Apply Motorcraft(R) Ultra Silicone Sealant to the sealing surface of the transaxle case.
a. Be sure the sealing surfaces of the torque converter housing and the transaxle housing are free of oil before applying Motorcraft?Ultra
Silicone Sealant.
30. Install the torque converter housing on the transaxle case and install the 17 bolts. Tighten to 24 N.m (18 lb-ft.).
a. Be sure the stud bolt is in the correct location as noted during disassembly.
31. Remove the turbine shaft seal protector 307-635.
32. Using the torque converter handle 307-091, install the torque converter.
33. Remove the torque converter handle 307-091.
34. Install the torque converter retainer 307-566.
35. Remove the transaxle from the bench-mounted holding fixture.
36. Remove the holding fixture 307-625.
37. Install transaxle and refill transaxle fluid following WSM, Section 307-01.
38. To correctly set and check the transmission fluid level monitor the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) Parameter Identification (PID) using
Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) / Portable Diagnostic Software (PDS) scan tool. Correct fluid level will read in the cross hatch area of the
dipstick at normal operating temperature 85-93 °C (185-200 °F).

Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG Reliability - 2018 Ratings

New AMG SUV is the first full-size SUV which has that two way of building combined. 2 separate 1/4 mile records were made by two separate RENNtech cars at Palm Beach International Raceway on Wednesday night. The C350 took everything up a notch, but again not a night and day experience, while the C63 is otherworldly, its power devastating, adhesion and correlating road manners unfathomable for such a solid, substantial four-door sedan. I took my girlfriend to an Italian restaurant in Austin, Texas that we had both wanted to try for a while. While the show car does not look anything like the current Impreza, equally Subaru insists the concept鈥檚 styling forms only a guide to the production WRX. The interior of this car has been designed to have an elegant yet sporty look that matches perfectly with the vehicle鈥檚 overall appeal. To get the power onto the road, the rear tires are wider than the front ones on a mid-engined car - usually about 30% wider. Also look for a return of the hybrid S...

2026 Mercedes-Benz GLB Review: Handling Dynamics Under Duress Part 7 of 10 | Is the Utility King also a True Driver's Companion? Testing its Grip, Feel, and Cornering Confidence. Many crossovers are glorified golf carts with bigger badges. The GLB dares to be different. While it embraces the boxy silhouette, its engineering guts defy that stereotype. This review pushes the GLB—from smooth suburban cruises to aggressive highway sweeps—to its limits, determining if this SUV truly offers a *driver's experience*, not just a passenger experience. [Cornering Confidence] See GLB handle tight turns like a dream! Watch our dynamic review video. The Direct Link: Steering Feel That Connects You to the Road In a vehicle designed for practicality, steering often becomes dull. The GLB avoids this trap with an electric-assisted system that feels perfectly weighted—light enough for parki...
