Fault description



DISA (Differentiated Intake Manifold) Actuator 1 Mechanical or Hardware Defect









Condition for fault identification



Test condition:





Monitoring of DISA controller (large valve)





Engine speed > 500 rpm





Terminal condition: Terminal 15 ON Voltage condition:





Voltage in onboard electrical system > 10 V









Condition for fault memory entry



Valve must lock up mechanically 10 times in succession. (5x open and 5x closed)









Action in service



Replace large DISA valve









Fault effect and breakdown warning







Driver information Warning light: none
