Complaint:

Display message in High Line instrument cluster:

"Tire pressure monitor nonfunctional - wheel sensors missing" after installation of complete wheels without wheel sensors.

Display message in Low Line instrument cluster:

"NO TPMS" after installation of complete wheels without wheel sensors.

Event entry 9130 is stored in the control unit.

Cause:

Wheels without air pressure sensors have been installed.

Remedy:

Install wheel sensors!

Note:

We always recommend installing wheel sensors even on M&S complete wheels so that the functionality of the system (e.g. warning when tire is

flat) is maintained.

If a customer expressly wishes to operate the vehicle without wheel sensors, please clarify the situation accordingly:

In the High Line instrument cluster the above display message is shown as the status in the instrument cluster menu, and only in the first ignition

sequence after installation of complete wheels without wheel sensors. In all subsequent

ignition sequences this message is merely stored in the instrument cluster tire pressure monitor menu as information for the customer.

In the Low Line instrument cluster the TPMS message is shown constantly in the display as a warning.

It is not possible to deactivate the system.

Note:

In this case please do not make any changes to the coding in the relevant control units!
