Porsche 992 GT3 [spy Shot]




A prototype of the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 has just been spied testing at Monza and it sounds very much like it鈥檚 running a naturally-aspirated flat-six, just like the current model. It鈥檚 impossible to know if this prototype is indeed for the next-generation GT3, the next GT3 RS, or potentially some other GT model. What we do know for sure is that it is a 992-generation tester and it doesn鈥檛 have a turbocharged engine. That alone should get enthusiasts very excited. The prototype filmed testing is easy to pick from other 992-gen cars not only be its engine note, but also by its new aerodynamic parts, including a curiously-shaped rear wing. Also visible are the two central tailpipes characteristic of a GT3 model. Beyond this vehicle鈥檚 use of a naturally-aspirated engine, it鈥檚 also obviously been outfitted with a new-and-improved PDK transmission. Considering the up-roar caused by Porsche ditching a manual option for the 991 GT3 and re-introducing it for the 991.2, we fully expect a stick-shift to be offered with the 992 GT3. If the new Porsche 911 GT3 does indeed use an all-motor flat-six for production, power will only rise incrementally from the 493 hp delivered by the current car. It鈥檚 also worth noting that this video isn鈥檛 confirmation that the finished car will use the same engine as this prototype. Porsche may still be undecided between a naturally-aspirated mill and a turbo鈥檇 one and could be testing both.





Is the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid a Good SUV? Yes, the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid is an excellent SUV. Should I Buy the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid? The Cayenne E-Hybrid makes a great choice for buyers who crave engaging performance, and it brings a lot to the table beyond its speed and agility. Should I Buy a New or Used Porsche Cayenne Hybrid? After a full redesign, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Hybrid marks the first model year of its new generation. For 2019, Porsche bumps the Cayenne E-Hybrid's horsepower to 455 (up from the 2018 model's 416). Also, the new model provides much more cargo space behind the rear seats. The 2019 Cayenne Hybrid comes standard with several formerly optional features including a Wi-Fi hot spot, satellite radio, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, navigation, and Apple CarPlay.





It also comes with a much larger touch screen than the previous generation. New available features include night vision assist and a surround-view camera. You'll likely save money (possibly thousands) by shopping for a used Cayenne Hybrid, but you won't get the benefits of the vehicle's redesign. And unlike many electric vehicles, the Model X carries a range of well over 200 miles, so you're not limited to short trips. Inside, the Model X doesn't look as well-built as the Cayenne Hybrid, but it offers a third row of seats, and it has more cargo space. Price-wise, these two are similar. These are both good vehicles, but the Cayenne Hybrid's superior interior gives it the edge. Which Is Better: Porsche Cayenne Hybrid or Mercedes-Benz GLE? The Mercedes-Benz GLE offers a plug-in hybrid powertrain that's nearly as powerful as the Cayenne Hybrid's.





When it comes to handling, the Porsche wins, hands down. Inside, however, the GLE stands out for having possibly the nicest cabin in the class. It's spacious and comfortable, and there's more cargo space than in the Porsche. Both SUVs have long features lists. These two both stand out, but for different reasons, and you should go with the one that suits your priorities: the Porsche for driving enjoyment or the Mercedes for interior opulence. How Many People Does the Cayenne Hybrid Seat? While some class rivals have three rows of seats and fit seven or eight people, the Cayenne Hybrid only seats five across two rows. Wherever you sit, you'll be happy. Both rows of seats are comfortable and spacious, and three adults can ride in the back without issue. The Cayenne E-Hybrid features two full sets of LATCH car-seat connectors. Inside, the Cayenne Hybrid looks good and is undeniably well-built. Some class rivals may still stand above this Porsche, but you'll have little to complain about while you're sitting in it. Cargo space counts as a weakness for the Cayenne Hybrid since most class rivals provide more room.
