Circuit/System Verification
1. Engine running. Let the engine run for at least 1 min.
2. Ignition OFF for at least 30 s to allow for the complete shutdown of the TCM.
3. Ignition ON, verify that DTC P0602 is not set.
瀚慖f the DTC is set, program the TCM. If the DTC resets, replace the TCM.
4. Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTCs P0601, P0603, P0604 should not set.
瀚慖f a DTC sets, replace the TCM.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
* Refer to Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning) for TCM replacement, setup, and
programming.
* Perform the Transmission Adaptive Functions (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Description and
Operation/AF40-6 - Automatic Transmission/Transmission Adaptive Functions).
Fuel Pump Control Module
DTC P0601-P0604, P0606, or P062F (Fuel Pump Control Module)
Diagnostic Instructions
* Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Diagnostic System
Check - Vehicle) prior to using this diagnostic procedure.

Circuit/System Description
The internal fault detection is handled inside the fuel pump control module. No external circuits are involved.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The fuel pump control module runs the program to detect an internal fault when power up is commanded. The only requirements are voltage and
ground. This program runs even if the voltage is out of the valid operating range.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
