On paper, the 9A2 Evo flat-six builds power in a constant gradient from about 2,250 rpm all the way to 5,000 rpm while the torque curve is as flat as Kansas across the same rev range. And that's exactly how it feels on the track, delivering an eerily linear surge of thrust, right up to the 7,400-rpm redline. Traction is immense. Already the 992 Carrera S feels an order of magnitude quicker than its 991.2 predecessor. The first couple of laps are exploratory鈥擨've never driven Hockenheim before. But by the third lap I see an indicated 155 mph before braking hard for the ultra-tight Spitzkehre hairpin. Compared with the original 911, the 992 Carrera S is indeed big, heavy, and luxurious. But it's also thrillingly fast, telepathically responsive, and wonderfully communicative. It's all 911, all the time, yet more approachable and trustworthy at the limit than ever before. As far as Porsche is concerned, though, it's still a work in progress.
There are plenty out there on offer for well under the 440,000 original asking price. Might want to keep saving for the 918 spyder hybrid. To bad that isn鈥檛 offered in manual. This is the coolest super car on the planet. Unlike someone elses post i think porsche makes the best sports cars in the world. Oh yeah, the 2011 911 turbo s goes 0 to 60 faster than any other production car for those haters out there. 444000 is maybe鈥ell i just cant car afford it! Choice of colour really depends on personal preference. I鈥檓 pretty young, but am in business, so a silver GT would be my preference. It is an seriously fun car, but silver conveys a sense of respectability that fits in with my career. I hope I can at least drive this thing once, before I bite the dust.. 174.43 ,don鈥檛 laugh ! Honestly , I think that Porsche shoulda have better paint colors to offer ,blacks and greys are hugly old man choice,I saw one wich was orange WOW ! So if I ever win the jackpot lottery powerball first thing I do is to drive my GT to the paintshop !
The next-generation Mercedes-Benz SL will be a radical departure from the current model and is set to receive a significant amount of input from the performance specialists at AMG. It鈥檚 no secret that sales of the current SL have been steadily declining. Rather than killing off its luxury roadster, the automaker plans to reinvent it and position it as a more driver-focused model and one more similar to the AMG GT than the current iteration, according to Autocar Autocar. Underpinning the new SL, which is set to arrive in 2020, will be the marque鈥檚 Modular Sports Architecture (MSA), also set to be utilized by the next AMG GT. This common platform will also see the new SL shares its suspension, axles, and steering system with the GT. Additionally, the duo will utilize a 48-volt electric architecture and a range of hybrid powertrains. The entry-level version is expected to be dubbed the SL450 EQ Boost and will allegedly use the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six already powering other Mercedes models supplemented by a small electric motor with 22 hp. Total grunt will sit at roughly 387 hp. Joining the SL450 EQ Boost with be the AMG-branded SL53. This model will feature largely the same powertrain, but deliver closer to 450 hp. Other models in the works will be an SL500 EQ Boost combining a turbo鈥檇 4.0-liter V8 with an electric motor, a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8-powered SL 63 and, maybe, a more powerful SL 63 S variant. It鈥檚 unclear if the V12-powered SL 63 will solider on. Due to the vehicle鈥檚 all-new underpinnings, its design will be a little different than the current SL. It will reportedly feature a rearward-positioned cabin and the existing folding hard-top will be replaced by a compact fabric roof. This change alone will allow Mercedes designers to make the car much sleeker and lower its center of gravity.
Honda 2Wheelers India launched the new CB300R in India on February 8, at an ex-showroom (pan-India) price of INR 2.41 lakh. At the launch, HMSI displayed the accessorised version of the CB300R that revealed the extras that will be available for the Neo Sports Cafe themed motorcycle. The accessories seen on the CB300R give it a more rugged look and Honda most likely targets the Ladakh (or another destination that involves off-road riding) bound riders with them. For starters, the fascia gets a grille that offers protection to the LED headlamp. The black finish to the grill gives the retro-styled CB300R a really rugged look. The standard motorcycle does not get a protector for the radiator, but the accessory list features a grill that should protect the fins from the various elements. Do note that the KTM motorcycles come with a fibre protector for the radiator as standard that does a decent job.
