Price: We expect the 2022 Nissan Titan — which continues to be built in Canton, Mississippi — to have a starting price of about $37,000. That’s for a 2022 Nissan Titan S King Cab with rear-wheel drive. Expect to pay about $3,000 more if you want a Crew Cab, and about $3,000 more if you want 4-wheel drive (4WD).
The top Nissan Titan, the Platinum Crew Cab 4×4, begins at around $60,000, plus a destination charge of $1,595.
Since the Nissan Titan was updated in a big way for 2020, we don’t expect to see any major changes for this large half-ton pickup truck in 2022.
Nevertheless, it remains a solid choice. The Titan is a tough truck with a proven frame and engine, and the 2020 update brought with it a thoroughly revised interior with an available 9-inch touchscreen, standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a modern safety suite with automatic emergency braking and a lane-departure warning.
Two cabs are available: a King Cab with rear-hinged back doors, and a Crew Cab with four conventional doors. While the Crew Cab Titan offers significantly better rear legroom, it has a shorter bed (67.0 inches) than the King Cab model (78.7 inches).
One engine remains available: a 5.6-liter V-8 that sends 400 horsepower (on premium fuel) to the wheels via a smooth-shifting 9-speed automatic transmission. Consequently, the max tow rating of the best Titan tow rig, the King Cab 4×2, was raised to 9,370 pounds.
While Ford, GM, and Ram sell lots more full-size pickups than Nissan, the Titan does have an excellent 5-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. On the other hand, the Titan can’t match the resale values of the F-150, Silverado, Sierra, Ram, or the Toyota Tundra.
