Supercede:

This bulletin is being revised to add the 2010 model year. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 09-08-64-011A (Section 08 - Body and

Accessories).

As a result of this EI and parts review through the Warranty Parts Center (WPC), we have found that most of our warranty claims are due to

transportation and/or customer damage and not a defect in material. Refer to published diagnostics and repairs in SI to correct any concern with the

outside rearview mirror or glass.

Note

The outside rearview mirror assembly components are serviced separately. If the concern is with one of the mirror assembly components, replace

just the components, and not the entire outside rearview mirror assembly. For the mirror glass, refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement

in SI. For the actuator, refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement in SI. For the housing, refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Housing

Replacement in SI. When replacing the mirror assembly components, refer to Groups 16.068 and 16.069 of the appropriate GM Parts Catalog for

part numbers and usage.

The 2010 warranty booklet has been updated with the following language:

Damage Due to Impact, Use, or the Environment

Windshield or glass cracks, chips or scratches due to impact are not covered. Windshield cracks will be covered for the first 12 months, regardless

of mileage if caused by defects in material or workmanship.

Lights, lens, mirrors, paint, grill, moldings and trim are not covered for cracks, chips, scratches, dents, dings and punctures or tears as a result of

impact with other objects or road hazards. In addition, cracks, chips, scratches or other damage to the face of a radio or instrument cluster from

impact or foreign objects is not covered.
