2. Test for less than 30 ohm between the low reference circuit terminal 6 and ground.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests

normal, replace the K33 HVAC control module.

3. Ignition ON, test for 4.8-5.2 V between the signal circuit terminal 5 and ground.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 BCM.

瀚慖f less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace

the K9 BCM.

4. If all circuits test normal, replace the B10B ambient light/sunload sensor.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

* Sun Load Temperature and Daytime Running Lamp Ambient Light Sensor Replacement (See: Lighting and Horns/Ambient Light

Sensor/Service and Repair)

* Control Module References (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning) for BCM or HVAC control module replacement,

setup and programming

DTC Descriptor

DTC B2652 02

- Passenger Compartment Dimming 3 Circuit Short to Ground

Diagnostic Fault Information

Circuit/System Description

The body control module (BCM) uses the ambient light sensor to determine which brightness of the accent lighting is needed. The BCM applies a

pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage through the accent light LED control circuit. Depending on the specified lighting requirements, the BCM

has three different accent lighting settings:

* Daylight conditions (70%)

* Night conditions (40%)

* Welcome light (100%)

Conditions for Running the DTC

* The ignition is ON.

* The headlamps or park lamps ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The BCM detects a short to ground on the accent lighting control circuit.
