1.4 Select control unit programming and press the >> key.

1.5 Select program map and press the >> key.

1.6 Input the VIN number, press the >> key and confirm with the F7 key.

1.7 Input the old programming number and press the >> key. This is the number obtained from IPAS. Now confirm the number with the F7 key.

1.8 Select the proper data record corresponding with New HMF. Example: "Boxster S OBD II (LEV, manual transmission), New HMF". Press

the >> key to start programming.

Note:

LEV stands for Low Emission Vehicle.

1.9 When programming is complete, a message will be displayed "After control unit programming, the "CAN time-out" fault must be erased on

every control unit connected with the CAN". Press the >> key to continue.

1.10 Select the DME and clear fault memory. It the vehicle has a tiptronic, the fault memory also needs to be cleared.

1.11 Return to the start menu and switch off PST2.

Brake Booster Seal at the Firewall Changed

Concern:

Brake booster seal at firewall has changed.

Information:

Due to a modification in the body firewall, the brake booster bellows and seal at the body fire wall was changed during model year '00 (Y).

Replacement brake boosters are only available with the latest style bellows.
