1969 Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a performance-oriented option package of the Ford Mustang, originally introduced by Ford in August 1968 as a package for the 1969 model year. For consignment, a mere 2 owner since birth car, that has 98% of its original body panels. Only the front left quarter panel has been replaced. Sporting its original rocker boxes (a known problem area) and original floor pans, and extensive mechanical rebuilds of the engine, transmission, and 9鈥?rear, this is a turn key car that consigner states is very reliable. Silver Jade Poly in a respray covers the fine exterior of this classic. The obligatory matte black hood and scoop, front air foil, headlight surrounds, as well as fastback louvers, rear deck spoiler and taillight panel, create a fine mix of contrast to the Silver Jade. A belt line matte black 鈥淢ACH 1鈥?stripe starting at the back of the front wheel well and extending to the rear in perfect alignment and condition, is noted on both sides.

All chrome and brite work and bumpers are in excellent condition. 15 x 7 chrome Magnum wheels are attached at all 4 corners, and the car ends with 2 chrome tipped exhaust pipes, that put out a healthy growl. 63C Mach 1 buckets adorned with code 3A Mach 1 knitted vinyl in black with just a hint of a red horizontal stripe delineating the seat from the headrest portion are seen. Wood veneer, and black vinyl make up the door panels that flank the buckets. 2 buckets are in the back of the car, and the tops of which fold forward for a bit more cargo space in the trunk. Speaking of the trunk, which is also in excellent condition with plaid liner, are a space saver spare and an original jack. A center console houses a Hurst shifter, original AM radio, and heating and airflow levers. Nice wood veneer is within the 2 鈥渟woops鈥?creating driver and passenger sides of the dash.

Drivers side housing essential gauges, and passenger side a clock. Fronting the dash is a factory Rim Blow steering wheel with walnut inlay. A shout out to the headliner which actually has an interesting pattern affixed. A totally rebuilt and restored 351ci V8 sits inside a pristine engine bay. Correct blue block and air cleaner are seen, and a Holly 4-barrel with an aluminum intake replace the original coded 2-barrel. A 4-speed top loader manual transmission replaces the original 3-speed and pushes power to a 9鈥?3.00 geared rear. Making it very easy to spot a good restoration, the underside presents beautifully. Original floor pans, and rocker boxes, and new disc brakes on front. Not original in the true sense of the word, however new parts replace the originals in key areas, so one now has added reliability. Beautiful color combination, and very nice interior combine to beckon you to sit in and go for a ride. Careful, it may be hair raising, but it will definitely be eventful and impressive! Classic Auto Mall is a 336,000-square foot classic and special interest automobile showroom, featuring over 300 vehicles for sale with showroom space for up to 1,000 vehicles. It is said that special cars come along once in a lifetime, but for the owner of this 1969 Mustang Mach 1, it has happened twice. He bought the car off the original owner back in the late 1990s but decided to sell it in 2007. In 2010 he had the option to buy it back, and this was an option that he chose to exercise. He has now decided once again to part with this Raven Black beauty, which is located in Woodruff, South Carolina. 37,100, the reserve hasn鈥檛 been met. When you look at the overall stunning condition of the Mach 1, it is hard to believe that it still wears its original Raven Black paint, but the owner does make that claim. If it is true, and I certainly don鈥檛 see any indications to the contrary, then it has survived remarkably well. The red decals offer a fantastic contrast and give the car a handsome but extremely tough look. The owner claims that the paint isn鈥檛 perfect, but it certainly looks good in the supplied photos.
