Up And Down With Ease
More parts keep pouring in from my recent Online purchases. This is the window regulator for my faulty left rear window that I just received last week. Faulty Window regulator is a common problem in most W210. I am sure owners of W210 will or already encountered this problem. That is why there are companies out there that produce cheaper patent parts for consumer like me. The seller told me this is a patent parts "Made In Germany" but not by Mercedes-Benz. 89.00 including shipping from USA. I did ask for a quotation for the original parts from local Mercedes-Benz(JATI), guess how much they quoted me? I have the window regulator installed at a workshop in Gadong who is a friend of mine for quite sometime. He goes by the name Ah Fong, a renowned car mechanic in our local car scene. 65.00 which I also had the rear third brake light reconnected and bulb replaced as well. This window used to be locked and finally it breathe new air! The left rear window now work like a charm! Up and down with ease.
In 2008 Mercedes-Benz began the revamping process of its range, which included the next model ranges:A-Klasse, B-Klasse, CLS-Klasse, G-Klasse, M-Klasse, SL-Klasse, SLK-Klasse. The Stuttgart carmaker has also presented two other models:a completely new one, the GLK-Klasse, and a substantially modified one, the CLC-Klasse(from the CL203 C-Klasse Sportcoupe). The aggenda for 2009 is also busy for Mercedes-Benz. We begin with the most important premiere, the new E-Klasse models. After an agonizing await, we shall finally be able to officially see the new E-Klasse Limousine in January 2009(some say 10th of January). The new E-Klasse Coupe(possibly badged CLE) will follow shortly after then. Anyway, both models will be premiered at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2009. The T-Modell, the Cabriolet and the AMG variants will be introduced at the 2009 IAA Frankfurt. To sum up, 4 completely new models(including the AMG versions) under the same range. Stage 2 of the revamping process that began in 2008 will include further models:S-Klasse, CL-Klasse, GL-Klasse, R-Klasse. The S-Klasse FL could be unveiled at Geneva, with sales beginning in summer 2009, whereas the other three models should come step by step, in the mentioned order, up to the end of the year. In 2009, Mercedes-Benz will also drop the SLR range, as the partnership with McLaren will come to an end and there are no plans of renewing the contract.
Mercedes-Benz is gearing up for an expansion of its X-Class pickup family. Since its launch in 2017, the Nissan Navara-based truck has been offering only one body style, a double cab with a regular bed. That鈥檚 about to change however, as Mercedes-Benz is cooking a more capable and practical version with a longer truck bed - something we鈥檝e known since last year when a fully-camouflaged prototype was spotted in Northern Europe. The longer-bed X-Class has been spied again, this time with no disguise on its bodywork. Furthermore, the additional segment that extends the bed is highlighted in a different color for everyone to see. While a long bed is always a good idea when it comes to pickups, the question is where is Mercedes-Benz going to sell it? The current version of the X-Class is already long enough for European markets, so an even longer one might be a bit of a stretch, pun intended. What if Mercedes-Benz finally decided to bring the X-Class over to the United States, though? It would certainly make sense to offer it with an extended bed and a more powerful engine. Just don鈥檛 get fooled by the badging on the prototype. While the fenders feature V6 turbo badges, the tailgate says 鈥淴 250 d,鈥?which is the designation for the 190 PS 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel. We tend to believe this is a V6 model, however. In Europe, the X-Class is offered with a range-topping 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel unit that makes 258 PS and 550 Nm of torque and is linked to a standard 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic gearbox and 4Matic four-wheel drive. This powertrain would certainly be a good fit in the U.S. Still, there鈥檚 nothing official from Mercedes-Benz on this topic so we鈥檒l just have to keep an eye out.
IMO, not all that special but my guess is it'll sell pretty good. The A35 is about to get even better looking. Entry-level luxury cars are great because they allow people to get in on the bottom floor of a luxury brand at prices comparable to fully-loaded mainstream models. We aren't sure exactly when the CLA 35 will make its official debut (perhaps in New York later this month) but when it does arrive, we expect it to feature identical power and performance figures as the A35. When it eventually goes on sale, we expect the CLA35 to cost a bit more than its A 35 counterpart because Mercedes typically sells its four-door-coupe models at a premium. The A35 and CLA 35 will likely be followed up with even more hardcore 45 AMG variants producing well over 400 hp, which should give the Audi RS3 and BMW M2 Competition a run for their money.
In this day and age when crossover and SUV sales are dominant, we are surprised to see Mercedes offer not one, but two separate sub-compact sedans. Of course, the A and CLA-Class eventually will be joined by a new GLA SUV and an upcoming mini-G-Class model called the GLB, both of which will ride on the same platform with a higher ride height. This is such a stupid trend of naming cars with numbers that gives it the impression of having a bigger engine when it has a much smaller engine. With a name like CLA35, it gives the impression it has a 3.5 liter 6 cylinder when it only has a 2 liter 4 cylinder. Who are they trying to fool?
