First Look: 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan

First Look: 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan

You can rate any show鈥攚hether it's live, recorded, or listed in the program guide鈥攂y pressing the THUMBS UP or THUMBS DOWN button on your remote. You can give a show up to three Thumbs Up (great!) or three Thumbs Down (terrible!). TiVo Suggestions keeps track of your ratings and uses them to recommend new shows you might like! When your TiVo box has available space, it automatically records TiVo Suggestions. TiVo Suggestions never replace shows you request, or prevent your requested shows from being recorded. TiVo Suggestions are always the first shows deleted to make room for recordings you request. When automatic recording is on (the default), TiVo Suggestions may be recorded if there's available space. Remember, recordings you schedule will never be deleted to make room for Suggestions. Also, if space is needed for your recordings, Suggestions are the first shows to be deleted. Recorded suggestions appear in the TiVo Suggestions group inside the "My Shows" list. You can watch, save, or delete them just like any other shows. TiVo Suggestions appears as a category in the left column of the categorized My Shows list. Highlight it to see all of your recorded Suggestions. When you select a category in My Shows, you'll find a Suggestions folder for that category. For example, in the TV Series category, you'll find a TiVo Suggestions folder that contains only suggestions for TV series.

On the hardware side, Mercedes partnered up with Nvidia to utilize the chipmaker鈥檚 GPU technology to enhance MBUX鈥檚 usability and speed. MBUX can also be updated either by local (i.e. at the dealer) or over-the-air updates in the future, which should enhance its lifespan. It can even recognize your preferences if you drive another MBUX enabled vehicle. What鈥檚 under the hood isn鈥檛 nearly as revolutionary given that the 2019 Mercedes A-Class, which will be badged in the U.S. A 220 and A 220 4MATIC, essentially uses the same setup as the existing CLA. While the 2.0-liter turbo inline four and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic is a similar setup to the CLA, power is actually down. Not something we normally see, but likely making room for the next CLA to continue to have more power. Horsepower is 188 hp vs. 208 in the CLA and torque is listed at 221 lb-ft vs.

258 in the CLA. Mercedes hasn鈥檛 provided any details yet on what if anything was done to the engine. Our best guess at this point is that it鈥檚 been massaged to be more efficient. Never fear though horsepower hawks, you can bet your bottom Benz that we鈥檒l see AMG versions of the A-Class soon enough. An AMG style package will be available for the base A-Class. Those shorter overhangs are also where the primary exterior changes have taken place over the CLA. The front end of the A-Class deploys stronger, more angular headlamp assemblies, and a much deeper and wider lower fascia augmented by similarly aggressive scooped side air inlets. The A-pillar has been adjusted slightly, the rear view mirrors have been moved to the beltline, and the profile lines appear more rounded. Out back, widening touches include a two-piece taillight design, and horizontal reflectors flanking the rear. It鈥檚 a smart update to our eyes, one that uses elements that helped make the CLA a hit here in the U.S., done in more of a traditional sedan style. It鈥檚 also very slippery in the wind tunnel, with a .22 Cd, the lowest of any production car (tied with, you guessed it, the CLA). Then there are the assists. So far, there鈥檚 no word yet on pricing, but with the 2019 A-Class, it鈥檚 obvious Mercedes is looking to make sure that when people think entry-level and Benz, they don鈥檛 think cheap. Oh, and it鈥檚 made in Mexico and Germany, so cross your fingers for no tariffs! 33K to start with pricing to go up considerably from there if you want all the good stuff. And we鈥檒l bet you some MBUX that if you want one, you will.

Lewis Hamilton edged out Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas in first practice for the French Grand Prix. Hamilton, who heads Bottas in the championship by 29 points, finished seven-hundredths of a second clear of the Finn at the Circuit Paul Ricard. Ferrari鈥檚 Charles Leclerc was third ahead of Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, with Sebastian Vettel fifth. Hamilton, who was excused from his media duties on Thursday to attend a memorial service for the renowned fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld in Paris, held the advantage over Bottas by just 0.069 seconds. Vettel took the chequered flag in Canada a fortnight ago, only to be demoted to second behind Hamilton following a five-second penalty. The stewards will determine whether Ferrari麓s request for Sebastian Vettel麓s penalty in the Canadian GP can be reviewed. The German鈥檚 Ferrari team will make their case for the penalty to be reviewed at a hearing at the track later on Friday. Vettel, already 62 points down on Hamilton in the title race, finished a full second behind the Mercedes driver in the opening session. In the sister Ferrari, Leclerc was 0.373s adrift of Hamilton, while Verstappen, boosted by a new Honda engine in the back of his Red Bull, was 0.880s off the pace. FP1 here at Circuit Paul Ricard. Lando finishes the session P7 with Carlos P8. 鈥?McLaren (@McLarenF1) June 21, 2019 British teenager Lando Norris, who is enjoying a promising start to his Formula One career, was best of the rest, placing seventh for McLaren. The 19-year-old finished within striking range of Red Bull鈥檚 Pierre Gasly, and two tenths clear of his McLaren team-mate Carlos Sainz. English rookie George Russell sat out the first session with Williams who turned to their reserve driver Nicholas Latifi. Russell will be back in the car for the day鈥檚 final running later on Friday.

She is no stranger to storming the runway, thanks to carving herself a career as an in demand model. Bridge for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Monday. The 28-year-old had a slight wardrobe malfunction as she took to the catwalk in a barley-there palm tree print mini dress that left VERY little to the imagination. Bambi's dress made sure to showcase her incredible model frame and boasted a one-shouldered design, along with a very revealing thigh-skimming hemline. A medic called, this is serious! Share Her dress was paired with a sultry pair of patent black leather boots that reached up to her thigh and buckled together behind the knee. The revealing design proved to be no difficulty for catwalk professional Bambi, as she expertly strutted her stuff up and down the runway for the designer. Her short brunette locks boasted plenty of volume, with her bob cut styled over to one side and offset with a large pair of statement earrings. Choosing to emphasise her flawless complexion, Bambi sported dewy make-up favouring neutral tones, bold brows and a bright pink hue around her eyes. Her appearance at Fashion Week comes 10 years after she made her debut for the seven-day designer event. Despite being a hit on the runway, Bambi has revealed her plans to move away from modelling and more into acting. A similar move has been done before by fashion elite such as Cara Delevingne, and Bambi has just finished shooting a short film in Paris, in which she is believed to have a leading role. Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the Australian model added that she is also filming a top secret TV show which is currently 'under wraps'.
