serves as a power source and a ground for the high voltage circuit impact detector sensor. When the ignition is turned ON and input power from the
serial data gateway module is first detected, the high voltage circuit impact detector sensor responds by performing internal diagnostics and sending
an ID to the serial data gateway module. The high voltage circuit impact detector sensor continually communicates status messages to the serial
data gateway module,
Conditions for Running the DTC
* The ignition is ON.
* The battery voltage is 7.5-18 V.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
B009F 00
The serial data gateway module is not programmed to use high voltage circuit impact detector sensor 1.
B009F 11
The high voltage circuit impact detector sensor signal circuit is shorted to voltage for 2.5 seconds.
B009F 12
The high voltage circuit impact detector sensor signal circuit is shorted to ground for 2.5 seconds.
B009F 39
The serial data gateway module has not received a valid state of health message from the high voltage circuit impact detector sensor for 2.5
seconds.
B009F 3A
The wrong high voltage circuit impact detector sensor has been installed.
B009F 4A
The serial data gateway module calibration does not match the vehicle configuration.
B009F 73
The serial data gateway module has received invalid serial data from the high voltage circuit impact detector sensor.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The driver information center (DIC) displays the SERVICE HYBRID SYSTEM message.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* A current DTC clears when the malfunction is no longer present.
* The DIC message turns OFF when the DTC passes.
* A history DTC clears when the module ignition cycle counter reaches the reset threshold of 50, without a repeat of the malfunction.
Diagnostic Aids
* The high voltage circuit impact detector sensor has many different internal configurations in the same external package. Ensure that the
correct sensor part number is installed with the correct software programmed in the serial data gateway module.
* Turn the ignition OFF for 1 minute before using a scan tool to clear the DTC from the serial data gateway module. If the ignition is not OFF
for 1 minute, the DTC may not clear.
