A correct Philco AM radio sits in front of the cars chrome shifter which is topped by a correct wood finished Mustang shift knob and is housed in a correct wood trimmed console. Even the seat belts have been restored to new condition and along with the optional Rim Blow steering wheel, chrome accessory knobs and completely new door panels provide a fresh and nicely detailed appearance. Behind the interior, a completely restored trunk includes a correct trunk mat and correct lid decals. And, like most 60s era Mustangs, the driving environment in this Mach 1 is first rate proving that Ford definitely had some of the best interior designers in the business. Documentation included with the sale of this investment grade Mustang is a copy of the cars original title and two copies of the cars Marti Auto Works report. If you're a fan of Ford performance, you know that Mach 1s are exceptional bargains that deliver big-block thrills at an unmatched price point. This 1969 Mach 1 is the perfect car to show and enjoy with no worries. Take care of it, maintain it, keep it looking great, and it will easily hold its value while you have a ton of fun. A fully restored big block 4-speed Mustang that's wrapped in some of Fords best styling and covered in awesome Black jade Green paint? What's not to love?

720 mph at sea level I always thought the Mach I Mustang name was kinda hokey. Only time will tell if you are right or wrong. I think it is certainly worth the try by Ford. The issue we have today is that one name really dominates the EV market mindshare - and that's Tesla. They own the cognitive space in the general market when it comes to Electric vehicles. Ford is trying to break into this space - and they are using the best tool in their arsenal - and that's using an affordable aspirational name. That depends on the execution. If they believe that the car itself is good enough - and they are proven to be right - this might be a very smart move by Ford. Calling it something from way back in the day like a E-Galaxie or Fairlane really does not buy they any mindshare. Even if it fails as an EV - and they revert course to have only coupe, ICE 'classic' Mustangs might be a good thing for them - as Coke sales jumped after they retreated from the New Coke debacle.

Yeah the big problem is "Mustang" has a negative connotation for a lot of people, both the kinds of people who seek out Electric Vehicles and those who want high tech. Also you have the negative connotation of the Mustang faithful of using their name on an electric car. Remember when they were going to call the Probe the Mustang. An electric car badged as a Mustang is just going to make the coal rolling bros want to roll coals on it and the actual Mustang owners give it the finger as they pass by. As I said earlier it's as cynical as Mazda making a CX-3 EV and calling it a Miata. Just come up with a new name, how hard can that be, or use a better name from the past. WAY better than Mustang for this car. Isn't this just a part of Ford's move to limit itself to just a couple of models for cars and then make a crapton of trucks and SUV's?

Now, everything not a truck will be a mustang, right? 2004 Miata - Sunlight silver metallic with blue leather. I have about as much culture as a petri dish on the Sun. So, your objection is not the size difference, but that Porsche did it gradually where Ford is doing it now quickly? Not a big deal at all. People that loves the Mustang coupe will continue to buy it, some people that love the way it looks and assign a certain idea of sportiness to the Mustang name will be attracted to the new EV Mustang. Storm in a teacup (or old man yelling at clouds) situation imho. It is just Ford adjusting what they can sell as sporty usable to today's world. That's all it is. I'm sorry but as others have pointed out your argument is ridiculous. 2 format) not slap the name on a format they are already making a bunch of models of. I know you are an Alfa guy, are you saying if Alfa slapped the GTV name on the Stelvio that would be ok? MY GOD MAN they came up with a new name for a new vehicle in a new format, how hard could this be for Ford. I'm pretty sure Alfa is not going to slap GTV on an upcoming Electric version of the Stelvio. Surprised they don't call it a Taurus.
