Circuit/System Verification
1. Clear the DTC information.
2. Ignition OFF for 1 minute.
3. Operate the vehicle under the Conditions for Running the DTC.
4. Retest for DTCs P0AEE, P0AEF, P0AF0, P0AF3, P0AF4, P0AF5, P0BD2, P0BD3, P0BD4, P0BD7, P0BD8, P0BD9, P0BDC, P0BDD,
P0BDE, P0BE1, P0BE2 AND P0BE3.
Circuit/System Testing
Program the PIM with the latest software version and recheck for DTCs.
If the DTC resets after programming or if the PIM already contains the latest software version, replace the PIM.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

DTC Descriptor
DTC P0AF7
- 14 Volt Power Module Overtemperature
Circuit/System Description
The Accessory Power Module (APM) controls the energy flowing between the high voltage, 300-volt, direct current (DC) and low voltage, 14-volt,
DC to support the vehicles accessories and charge the 12-volt battery. The APM receives a 14-volt enable command from the Hybrid Powertrain
Control Module (HPCM) over the high speed hybrid GMLAN communication circuit. APM functions will run only when the APM Enable is active
on the high speed hybrid GMLAN communication circuit.
