Mercedes-Benz A-class Sedan Debuts For China
The all-new Mercedes-Benz A-class is nearly ready for its arrival in America. We鈥檒l be getting a few different variants of the new baby Benz; the first is expected to be a sedan that will be slightly shorter than this A-class L, which is making its debut for the China market. If you can visually subtract 2.4 inches from the wheelbase, then you鈥檙e essentially looking at the A-class sedan that will be on sale here at some point later this year. Everything forward of the B-pillar appears identical to the Europe-market A-class hatchback, while the notchback shape is reminiscent of the current CLA-class, albeit with a more upright roofline. The A-class sedan is expected to supplant the CLA as the cheapest way for U.S. Benz in their driveway (excepting the Metris van), leaving the yet-to-be-revealed next-gen CLA some room to move upscale. The new A-class boasts a more modern interior that looks remarkably different from those of current Mercedes-Benz models. It uses Mercedes鈥?new MBUX infotainment system, which is said to incorporate more advanced voice-control software. Stylish-looking air vents and glitzy bits of trim round out the appealing cabin. The two powertrains offered in China, 1.3- and 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-fours with 134 and 188 horsepower, are not what we鈥檒l get in the United States. Expect the U.S. A-class to come as an A250 model with an uprated 2.0-liter turbo four making around 220 horsepower, mated to a dual-clutch automatic transmission and either front-wheel drive or 4Matic all-wheel drive, as in the current CLA. AMG variants are likely to follow. Mercedes-Benz A-class Hatch Debuts, Will Spawn Three Models for U.S. Oh, and one more thing on this A-class L that鈥檚 not headed to the States? That Rose Gold color. It鈥檚 exclusive to China.
For those who have studied history, we have seen this type of charismatic con man / demagogue doing the same thing throughout history, (ie. They all were able to, in their respective countries, states and time, capitalize on widespread public discontent with years of corrupt, myopic, dysfunctional governments. They all developed fervent popular followers, allowing them to dominate the public discourse by stoking genuine fears and methodically establish their dictatorial power. Yet please do not misunderstand my position. Last edited by AVB-AMG; Yesterday at 08:45 AM.. And the Democrats response is to be even bigger idiots. Tell China and India to clean up their act we cant fix the worlds pollution ourselves while screwing ourselves over in the process. Possible hit: Right to Try approved. I haven't seen the details, and there is a risk that desperate people will get taken advantage of, but with proper control could be a good thing. 99% of the special requests to try are already approved for people in need according to reports. This claim of "right to try" is exaggerated.

FYI - The Paris Agreement, that Trump withdrew U.S. And yet they dont follow it weird. I can sign you a check for eleventy billion who cares. Everyone talks about too much money in politics but then so proud when their guy raises more then the other guy. Finally, I wonder if the Republican controlled Senate will discover an ethical and patriotic back bone and join Democrats to do something about this national embarrassment of a President? So far Trump has promised to sign basically anything that the Republican-controlled congress had sent to his desk. It is now quite apparent that the Republicans in Congress will do whatever they feel they have to do to remain in power and that includes not upsetting Trump's voter base. The Senate voted just today to block sales of armaments to Saudi Arabia. Will likely be vetoed by you-know-who. The Senate voted just today to block sales of armaments to Saudi Arabia. I think Australia will be fascinating: the winter鈥檚 testing has been so finely balanced that it鈥檚 particularly difficult accurately to judge who鈥檒l be the quickest. And that鈥檚 fantastic for Formula 1 fans across the globe. 鈥淎t Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, we鈥檝e had an extremely productive winter - I鈥檝e never seen Jenson and Lewis looking so healthy, committed and prepared for a new season. The first of two infamous Adelaide deluges left Alain Prost in no mood to contest the race - he withdrew on the parade lap. The torrential conditions also caused mayhem: Ayrton Senna crashed blindly into Martin Brundle鈥檚 Brabham after just 13 laps. Ayrton Senna wins the shortest race in grand prix history. A mighty rainstorm turned the track into a skating rink and conditions were deemed too dangerous to continue. Despite fears from the team that he would run out of fuel on his final, flying lap, Ayrton Senna kept it nailed to secure pole position - his 46th for McLaren. The following day, he drove the active-ride MP4-8 to his 41st and last-ever F1 win. Tyre failure sent Mika Hakkinen into a tyre-wall with huge force, leaving the Finn unconscious and requiring an emergency trackside tracheotomy.
