Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has officially introduced the W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift in the country. Spied here recently, the refreshed compact executive sedan - which made its debut in Geneva earlier this year - arrives here in two variant forms, the C 200 Avantgarde and the C 300 AMG Line, both locally-assembled from the get-go. The facelifted Mercedes-AMG C 43 4Matic was also launched at the same time today. As for the rear, the rear LED tail lamps retain their shape but get new C-shaped light guides, and the bumper now has a new lower section, with the geometry, trim and exhaust finishers varying dependent on the equipment level. Completing the exterior update are new wheel designs. A new M264 engine makes its way on to the car, and both displacement capacities available for the unit find their way here. The C 200 gets the 1.5 litre twin-scroll turbo unit, which offers 181 hp (184 PS) at 5,800 to 6,100 rpm and 280 Nm of torque at 3,000 to 4,000 rpm. Maximum torque remains unchanged at 370 Nm, but is now available from 1,800 rpm compared to the 1,300 rpm it was previously, with peak remaining at 4,000 rpm.
