Reason for block

Complaint:

After replacement of the yaw rate sensor for lateral and longitudinal acceleration (B24/15) the vehicle fails the road test according to the initial

start-up specifications.

Note:

After the road test:

- the yellow ABS warning lamp lights up

- the multifunction display shows the two display messages

-- "Unavailable! - ESP - Diagnosis/Rig Test ! " and

-- "Unavailable! - ABS - Diagnosis/Rig Test ! ",

and the codes 5603 and 5410 are present in the ABR control unit (ABR ECU).

Cause:

The YAW rate sensor (B24/15) delivers incorrect values to the ABR control unit (N30/4) due to being installed under stress, perhaps as a result of a

deformed floor panel at the sensor attachment point.

Remedy:

Reinstall sensor B24/15 correctly.
