SPY: The 2019 Mercedes-Benz Citan Still "trapped" In Northern Scandinavia
The arrival of Volker Mornhinweg, former AMG boss, as head of the Mercedes-Benz Vans division has eventually paid off as a clever strategic manouevre aiming to heat things up in a market segment which lacks the emotional side. Apart from implementing alternative and more efficient drive solutions, Mr. Mornhinweg has now embarked on the mission of completely refreshing the entire vehicle lineup, starting from the bottom end up to the top models. To boost sales and "hunt" for new customers, at the IAA Hannover show in September a new line of compact commercial models under the name of Citan is set to make the official debut, with sales following shortly after. This new addition is the fruit of the cooperation with Renault, which looks to spawn several other new technologies and models. The underpinnings come straight from the new Kangoo van and the efficient engines are co-developed by the two carmakers. The exterior styling will feature a more car-oriented influence and, given the teaser sketches we saw a while ago, the new design language has been applied and so the Citan is somehow resembling the new A-Class. Inside, the Mercedes-Benz touch will be visible in the general architecture of the dashboard and in the assembly quality, which aims to deliver a solid, premium package.
Also, rear suspension geometry and setup needs to be sorted out to loose the least grip possible with a much higher travel the whole approach entails. I鈥檓 not saying it has to be fixed. But there is a trade off that Merc have always gone on the side of minimising frontal area to maximise aero efficiency. I see what you mean and I agree. That's why I pointed to the rear suspension geometry and setup. It鈥檚 true everything is intertwined and it鈥檚 mind boggling to think about. Disagree with your last point though, Newey isn鈥檛 the one running those aero calculations, Red Bull is much more than just Newey their aero team is all top notch. There's another hint that Mercedes have been planning this for a while. Analysis of the qualifying runs in Bahrain suggested that Mercedes had longer gearing in 7th and 8th than the Ferrari, hinting that they're aiming to run less drag and higher top speeds at some circuits. This setup would explain that line of thinking. Very interesting indeed. Great observation there.
Aim: To practise interrogatives ; suggestions ;acceptance ; refusal etc. Each student decides what wares he is carrying to market to sell. Also what he wants to buy to take home. End of 10 minutes all students report to rest of class what sales they made , what they couldn't sell and what they bought. Depending on the proficiency of the class , language help may be provided at the beginning. Level: Easy to Medium 1. The pupils say slogans/blessings/funny proverbs, etc. 2. The teacher writes them on the blackboard. 3. The pupils then write their favorite slogans with special markers on T-shirts. Level: Medium to Difficult Aims: To practise giving advice and suggestions. To generate interaction from a simple raw material. 1 Get a student to say the first sentence below to his neighbour. I HAVE A HEADACHE. I HATE WORKING. I FEEL SAD. I WANT TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT. I LOVE PEOPLE. I AM ALWAYS LATE.
I KEEP LOSING MY CREDIT CARD. MY FRIENDS DON'T WANT TO SEE ME. I HAVE A RED NOSE. I AM ALWAYS CRASHING MY CAR. I WOULD LOVE TO MEET SOME PEOPLE. IT WOULD BE GREAT TO BE RICH. MY STOMACH IS HUGE I AM VERY INTELLECTUAL. MOTHER SAYS I AM ATTRACTIVE. Give them a minute. Give them a few minutes. Activity D Get a blank page and draw a circle in the centre. This, we can call a word-map, or even a mind-map. Don't forget to question students on why they put in such and such a thing. Watch out for strange concepts! They were, bluntly, torn apart. Should the animals be put down? Should they be in nature reserves in the first place? Activity A Have you ever been in a similar situation? Activity B Do you think animals are necessary for humans? Activity C List the most helpful animals, and why.
