Complaint:

1. Glove box squeaks/rattles in top left area.
2. Creaking or friction noise in center console area at transition from lower control panel to HVAC control panel.
3. Chatter/noise in area of center air vent/head unit (as of facelift).
4. Creaking/cracking noise in area of combination cover (as of facelift).

1. Breakthrough for glove box on crossmember sharp-edged (Attachment 1)
2. Cover of lower control panel makes contact on left side with cover of HVAC control panel (Attachment 2)
3. Lower trim strip of center air vent touches bezel of head unit
4. The material pairing between the chrome rings and the combination cover generates noise at potentially all points of contact (Attachment 4)
5. Relative movement of components to each other (Attachment 5)
6. Improper torque of attachment bolt (Attachment 6)

Attachments
Remedy:
1. Attach thin layer of felt to suspension at top left of glove box (Attachment 1-2)
2. Apply felt tape to contact points on back side of lower control panel.
3. Attach adhesive pads lined with rubber on lower bar of center air vent (Attachment 3-1 and 3-2)
4. Glue components using hot melt adhesive to each other (Attachment 4-1)
5. Attach felt tape to contact points and designated areas.
6. Tighten bolt and washer assembly to 2 Nm (Attachment 6)
