This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a Saltillo built 3.6L engine (sales code ERB) manufactured through September 19,
2011 (MDH 091900).
IMPORTANT:
Many of the vehicles within the above build period have already been repaired and, therefore, have been excluded from this recall.
^ The engine in about 90 of the above vehicles may experience connecting rod bearing failure due to engine block debris. Connecting rod
bearing failure could result in a loss of engine power and/or engine seizure. Engine seizure under certain driving conditions could cause a
crash without warning.
^ To correct this condition, the complete engine assembly must be replaced on all involved vehicles.
