^ Perform the following steps for both front door panels (driver and passenger side).
^ Images shown in this procedure are of the driver side panel. The process for the passenger side is a mirror image.
1. Remove the front door panel (finisher).
^ Refer to the INT section of the applicable Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for front door panel removal information.
2. Lay the door panel face-down on a clean, flat work surface.
NOTE:
Cover the work surface with a clean cloth fender cover (or other suitable protector) to prevent staining or damage to the door panel face.
3. Check the location of the two (2) foam blocks shown in Figure 1, above.
If the foam blocks are:
^ in the locations shown in Figure 1, or
^ missing
....proceed to step 4.
NOTE:
Do not replace missing foam blocks.
If a foam block(s) is:
^ out of place
....reattach the foam block(s) to the proper location(s), then proceed to step 4.
NOTE:
Use Figure 1 as a reference when reattaching the foam block(s).
4. Check the position of the foam strip applied to the door speaker opening.

^ If the foam strip is centered on the rib and the ends meet (Figure 2), proceed to step 5.
^ If the foam strip is not centered on the rib and/or the ends do not meet (Figure 3), reattach the foam strip to the proper location (Figure 2).
Then, proceed to step 5.
NOTE:
If needed, use a general trim adhesive to reattach the foam strip.
5. As indicated in Figure 4, use isopropyl alcohol to clean the rim of the door panel.
6. Cut an EPT foam seal (listed in Parts Information) in half.

NOTE:
You will use one half of the foam seal on each door.
7. Apply one (1) half of the foam seal to the rim of the door panel.
a. Starting at the edge of the lower foam block, press the EPT foam seal down onto the rim.
NOTE:
If the lower foam block is missing, start the foam seal in the center of the "dip" in rim. See Figure 6.
