HI Bulb for Fog Lamp Does Not Function
If you encounter instances in Model 202 vehicles of the H1 bulb for the fog lamp not functioning, please perform the following procedure.
1. Remove the headlamp unit.
^ Refer to WIS: AR82.10-P-4730ED, Removing and installing headlamp unit"
2. Remove the new H-1 bulb socket by cutting the yellow and two brown wires at indicated points from the Electric Cable (Figure 1).
3. Discard the rest of the Electric Cable, it is no longer needed.
4. Remove approximately 1/4-inch of insulation at the H-1 bulb socket yellow and brown wire ends (Callout B, Figure 2).
5. Cut off the damaged H-1 bulb socket from the headlight assembly leaving enough cable to crimp Cable Connectors.
Note:
The part cut off is shown above (Call out A, Figure 2).
6. Remove approximately 1/4-inch of insulation from the gray and brown wire ends coming from the headlamp assembly.
7. Connect the new H-1 bulb socket to the headlamp assembly. Connect the white wire to the gray wire, and the brown wires to the brown wires
(Figure 3) using the three cable connectors shown above (Callout C, Figure 2).
Note:
Use heat gun to seal Cable Connectors.

8. Reinstall the H-1 bulb socket into headlamp assembly.
9. Reinstall headlamp.
