SITUATION



Due to a temporary shortage of MINI Cup Links in early March 2002-2006, some vehicles have been wholesaled to dealers without the cup holder



installed.



CORRECTION



The installation of this MINI Cup Link is being offered free-of-charge to the customers of Model Year 2002-2006.



Prior to retail delivery to the customer, dealers can install the MINI Cup Link on Model Year 2002-2006 vehicles in inventory that do not have the MINI



Cup Link installed.



If the vehicle has been delivered to the customer without the MINI Cup Link, MINI will advise the customer, via letter to his or her registered



address, to bring the vehicle to the dealer for installation.

1. Remove parts from the packaging:



2. Carefully spread open the bracket (1) and slip it over the right "down tube" (2) of the center console.



3. Position the bracket so that it is approximately 3 inches (76 mm) up from the base of the down tube. Then, insert and tighten the screw.



4. Install the cup holder (2) into the mounting hole in the bracket (1).

5. Rotate the cup holder so that it is properly oriented.
