Reason for change SA code restricted

Complaint:

When the High Beam Assist is activated a "High Beam Assist inoperative" message appears in the instrument cluster.

Switch-on conditions for High Beam Assist:

- High Beam Assist in instrument cluster menu "On"

- Multifunction switch set to high beam position

- Light sensor detects "Night"

Cause:

In isolated circumstances, it can happen that the multifunction camera fails to log into the data bus CAN in the temperature ranges (23 锟斤拷F to + 41 锟斤拷F

and 68 锟斤拷F to 86 锟斤拷F). A fault code entry is not made. Following a renewed ignition sequence and a change in component temperature, the system is

operational again.

Remedy:

Replace MFK and calibrate with the aid of the "calibration target for Night View Assist" special tool (W 000 589 01 20 00).
