Sophia VonDauber and Brooke Benestad represented Triangle Rowing Club in the team's first ever appearance in National competition. They raced against the best of the best, and did not disappoint! They dominated in the C Finals race on Saturday, June 10 finishing first with open water between their competition. TRC teammates cheered them on virtually via live video. We could not be more proud!
About the USRowing National Championships:
The 2018 USRowing Youth National Championships was held June 8-10, 2018, on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif.
The championships, which serve as the premier youth rowing event in the United States, saw approximately 1,500 athletes competing in more than 350 crews, representing some 150 teams from across the country – all vying for national titles in 18 boat classes.
