Message in Instrument Cluster: Battery Symbol and "Visit Workshop" in White
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a message in the instrument cluster showing a white colored Battery Symbol along
with text "Visit Workshop" and at least one of the two fault codes listed below are present in the Front SAM, follow the procedure below to remedy.
^ 9061 Component G1/7 (Auxiliary battery) is faulty or the lead has open circuit
^ 9062 Component G1/7 (Auxiliary battery) is defective or not installed.
Note:
The fault message is displayed if the charge level to the additional battery (backup battery) is too low or the additional battery is non-functional.
1. Complete guided tests found in STAR Diagnosis by navigating to the following menu: Control Units --> Body --> SAM-F --> Complete List of
Guided Tests --> Additional Battery --> Replace battery if necessary
Note:
^ When changing the back-up battery, use damage code 5410X and damage type 73 "electrical fault".
^ When changing the front SAM, use damage code 54663 and damage type FS "electrical fault".
