Replace Hard Disk
There is now a separate replacement procedure for the COMAND APS (A40/3) telematics generation 2.5.
Perform a quick test to ensure the disk is causing the problem.
NOTE:
DTC 94D9 - internal hard disk has a malfunction is a key DTC to look for.

Customer complaints indicative of a defective hard disk are in group 82 of TIPS. You must first use XENTRY diagnostics to ascertain a hard
drive/hard disk error.
After the hard disk has been installed, SCN code and program the control unit. For the guided procedure go to: COMAND APS > Initial startup >
Replacement of hard disk.
After installation of the hard disk, also update the navigation map with the appropriate DVD.
