Adjust Trunk Lid Stops
This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG (DAG) has determined that due to tolerance and settling of the rubber seal the trunk
lid may touch the bumper during closing on the affected vehicles. Dealers will adjust the trunk lid stops at the next workshop visit
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:
^ Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.
^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.
Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.
Approximately 139,653 vehicles are affected.

1. Open trunk lid
2. Unscrew trunk lid stop (A, Figure 1) one complete turn (counter clockwise).
Note:
Checking the trunk lid adjustment is not necessary.
3. Unscrew trunk lid stop (B, Figure 1) two complete turns (counter clockwise).
Note:
Checking the trunk lid adjustment is not necessary.

The following allowable labor operation should be used when submitting a warranty claim for this repair:
