Complaint:
After the vehicle has been idle for an extended period, a start abort may occur or it may not be possible to start the engine when starting the engine
via Keyless Go.
Note:
The engine can be started via the key in the EZS.
Cause:
Due to an extended vehicle idle period, when the engine is started via the Keyless Go function a voltage dip (depending on the charge level of the
vehicle battery) can occur at the ESP control unit.
As a result, the Keyless Go control unit does not receive the enable signal because the "Driver braking" signal cannot be sent via the CAN databus
by the ESP control unit.
Remedy:
Flash ESP control unit with the current valid software (A221 902 82 01) via the DAS diagnostic unit.
Note:
This software is available as of DAS-DVD 11/2009!
