Mercedes Benz C 63 AMG Technical Service Bulletin #LI54-10_P-051049
Date: 120405
Electrical - Consumer Shutoff Intermittently Active
Consumer shutoff intermittently active
Topic number LI54.10-P-051049
Version 1
Design group 54.10 Battery, voltage supply, voltage converter
Date 04-05-2012
Validity Model series 169, 245, 204, 207, 212, 216, 221 (as of SA code 809)
Reason for change
Complaint:
- Consumer shutoff intermittently active.
-
Head unit and/or other consumers are shut off after a short time.
Cause:
The voltage value transmitted by the battery sensor to the rear signal acquisition and actuation module (rear SAM) via the LIN bus is too low,
causing the rear SAM to shut off consumers.2010 Mercedes Benz C 63 AMG Sedan (204.077) V8-6.3L (156.985)
Page 54
Remedy:
Use diagnosis in the SAM to read out the actual voltage value transmitted by the battery sensor to the rear SAM, and compare it with the voltage
measured directly at the battery using a multimeter.
If a difference> 1V is measurable, the battery sensor must be replaced.
