Complaint:
The following messages appear alternately in the instrument cluster:
- "Unavailable! - ESP - Service Required"

- "Unavailable! - ABS - Service Required"
- "Tire pressure monitor unavailable"
Note:
There are no codes logged in the ESP control unit (N30-4), but there are in the engine control unit (ME CU).
Cause:
For the acceleration skid control (ASR) function, the ESP required feedback from a properly functioning engine control unit.
If there is a code logged in the ME CU, then the ASR function is not guaranteed and the ESP system switches to malfunction with the above display
in the instrument cluster.
The codes in the ESP control unit can not be read out with Xentry DAS DVD 01/2010 and all previous versions.
Remedy:
The instructions stored in the engine control unit for the code entries must be processed via Xentry DAS.
